Languages and The Survey System
The English language version of Survey System works in any alphabet based language such as French, German, Italian etc. without problems. This includes Arabic, Greek, Hebrew, and Russian although you may need to instal Windows language packs for non-Roman alphabets in some earlier computers.
Special characters or accents such as á, ñ, ô, ß or Ø etc. can be displayed by using either a keyboard in that language or the ALT key with the relevant 3 or 4 digit code on an English keyboard.
For Middle Eastern languages that are written right to left (RTL), Answer Choices can be right aligned by changing a setting in the Configuration.
The English language version of The Survey System also works in non-alphabetic pictographic languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean, if Windows is set to the relevant region.
Naturally the program still shows English language instructions and labels on the screen irrespective of the survey language used.
