Stratton Research Utilizes Survey System to Deliver Well-Respected Studies
Stratton Publishing & Marketing, based in Alexandria, Virginia, is a leader in print and electronic communications for associations, universities, and corporate clients. Using a practical, experienced-based approach, Stratton provides workable solutions to organizations' publishing and communications challenges through collaborative consultation, comprehensive publications and market research, and custom publishing solutions. The company’s research arm, Stratton Research, utilizes The Survey System platform to conduct comprehensive, in-depth studies for its clients, including research on reader feedback, advertiser perception, information needs, member engagement, buying power, and more.
One of those clients includes the American Institute of Architects, Washington, D.C. The organization wanted to ensure its communications were aligned with members’ needs and improve member engagement. Stratton conducted a comprehensive Communication Audit of the 77,000-member AIA. The study included member perception research and publication readership research, and in-depth review and assessment, which led to the development of a Strategic Communications Plan for the organization.
The plan identified strategies to realign operations and communication efforts to better engage members and meet their information needs, including the repositioning and relaunch of AIA’s primary communication vehicle, AIA e-newsletter. All of the research instruments and resulting data tables were created, cross-tabbed, and produced using The Survey System platform. The program allows Stratton Research to create and execute research projects that meet the information and analysis needs of its clients. Stratton has used The Survey System for several years, and it consistently delivers the capabilities it needs to serve its clients.
